Richard (Graham) Wheeliker - 57 - Glace Bay Graham Wheeliker, 57, of 4 Lynk Street, Glace Bay, passed away Saturday, July 14th, 2001 @ 9:10am, at his summer home in Upper Grand Mira North. Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Elizabeth and the late Jack Wheeliker. Graham was employed with the Cape Breton Development Corporation and worked in the #20, #26, Lingan and Phalen Collieries until he retired in April of 1993. After his retirement Graham enjoyed spending his summer at his trailer in Upper Grand Mira North entertaining his family and many friends. Graham is survived by his wife, Audrey Coffin; daughters, Maureen Hartling, Halifax; step-daughter, Joan Kanary, Glace Bay; sons, Eric (Carol) Wheeliker, Glace Bay, Charles (Blaine) Wheeliker, Sydney. Sisters, Carol (Gordon) Mercer, Tower Road; Sheila (Joe) Desource, Rhode Island; Ann (Alex) Spencer, Broughton; brothers, Jack (Pat) Wheeliker, Glace Bay; step-brother Edwin (Mae) Graham, Tower Road; grandchildren, Michael, Eric, Crystal, Jillian, Carl, and Clarissa. Predeceased by sisters, Betty and Christine; in infancy- brothers, Alan and John, son-in-law, Michael Kanary. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service to be held Tuesday at 2 PM in the Patten Funeral Home Chapel, 71 Union Street, Glace Bay. Rev. Bill Matthew's officiating. Interment was held - on June 29 2002 @ 11 am, @ the Greenwood Cemetery in Glace Bay, Highland Street entrance. . |
